- Affirmative : There was a pirate beach.  Có một tên cướp biển.
There were two pirate beach.  Có hai tên cướp biển.
- Negative: There wasn't a café.  Không có quán cà phê.
There weren't any crocodiles.  Không có con cá sấu nào cả.
- Interrogative: Was there a swimming pool?  Có cái bể bơi nào không?
Yes, there was.  Có.
- Were there any tigers?  Có con hổ nào không?
No, there weren't.  Không.
WHAT + BE + .... + LIKE? ... NHƯ THẾ NÀO?
Examples: - What was the weather like?  Thời tiết thế nào?
It was beautiful.  Rất đẹp.
