I. Objectives:

1. Educational aims: Students should keep and take care their rooms and house

2. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe rooms and homes

II. Preparations: Textbook, cassette

III. Procedures:

1. Warm - up (5’)

- Ask Ss play game “Networks”:

 tub

 shower sink

 dryer

washing refrigerator dishwasher machine

- Whole game

- Play game

2. Pre - reading (12’)

- Use a picture and ask Ss some questions

- Introduce some new words:

1. electric stove (n)

2. refrigerator (n)

3. sink (n)

4. washing machine (n)

5. dryer (n)

6. dishwasher (n)

7. shower (n)

8. tub (n)

- Ask Ss to practice the new words

- Present the new grammar and structure:

EXCLAMATIONS.

 1. What an awful day!  Complaints

 2. What a bright room!  Compliments.

  WHAT + A/AN + ADJ + NOUN!

- Look at the pictures and answer the questions

- Use the pictures (29- 30)

- Rub out and remember

- Whole class

- Practice the new words

- Take notes and copy.

3. While - reading (13’)

- Have Ss read the dialogue and answer the questions page 30

- Call on some ss to give the answers in front of the class.

a) The living room, Hoa’s room, the bathroom, and the kitchen.

b) Because it is bright and it has nice colors: pink and white.

c) A sink, a tub and a shower

d) A washing machine, a dryer, a refrigerator, a dish washer, and an electric stove

- Read silently and find out the answers

- Work in group

4. Post - reading (12’)

- Have Ss talk about their house

1. How many rooms are there in your house?

2. What things are there in your living room\kitchen.?

- Call some pairs to check

- Ask and answer the questions

- Pair work

5. Homework (3’)

- Learn by heart vocabulary.

- Write a short paragraph to describe your house.

- Prepare next lesson: Unit 3: A2
