Lesson 1: GETTING STARTED – LISTEN AND READ
I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Educational aims: TV programs are informative, Ss should update the news and knowledge.
2. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk to their friends about the programs that they like or dislike.
II. PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette player and tape

1. Warm - up (10’)
- Give some pictures to introduce the lesson
- Have Ss answer the question:
+ Which of these is your favorite activity in your free time?
+ How many hours a week do you spend watching TV?
- Answer the question

- Introduce some new words:

- Ask Ss to practice the new words.

- Play the tape for Ss 3 times.
