I. OBJECTIVES:

Teaching aims: At the end, students will be able to use “WH – question” with these / those to ask and answer about things.

II. PREPARATIONS: Cassette tape, book

III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5)

- Have students play game “ Bingo”

 a school bag, an eraser, a window, a pen, a board, a door, a pencil, a waste baskets, a ruler.

2. Presentation: (12)

- Ask students to look at the picture and describe.

- Explain vocabulary:

+ living room (n)

+ house (n)

+ telephone (n)

+ lamp (n)

+ bookshelf (n)

+ armchair (n)

+ couch (n)

+ television (n)

+ table (n)

+ chair (n)

+ stereo (n)

- Ask students to practice the new words.

- Check vocabulary: “Matching”

- Show students the real things to introduce the new structures:

 + What is this?

 + What is that?

 + What are these?

 + What are those?

- Explain structure:

 What are these / those ?

 They are .

3. Practice: (18)

- Play the tape part 1/ p. 30 for students.

- Ask students to look at the picture and practice with a partner.

- Call some students to practice.

- Ask students to look at the picture part 2/ p.31, practice with a partner.

Ex: What is this?

 Its a table.

- Call some pairs to practice.

4. Production: (18)

- Have students write “Networks” about items in their living room and kitchen.

- Call some students to write on the board.

5. Homework: (2)

- Ask students to learn by heart vocabulary

- Have them do exercises in the exercise book from page 17 to 18 and prepare next lesson: Unit 3: A3 – 4 – 5 / p.32, 33

Play game.

- Look at the board.

- Listen to the teacher.

- Practice.

- Individual work.

- Answer the teachers question.

 + It is a table.

 + They are desks

 + They are windows

- Listen to the tape.

- Look at the picture.
