Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read a text, to understand the details, ask and answer about the family.

1. Warm – Up: (5’)
_ Have students play game “ Chain game”
_ Ask students to get into groups of three.

2. Pre – Reading: (12’)
- Play the tape for students, ask them listen carefully.
- Introduce some new words:
 1. an engineer (n)
 2. a doctor (n)
 3. a nurse (n)
- Ask students to practice the new words.
- Set the scene: Lan is pointing to the photo and introducing about her family.
- Get students to guess how old they are and what they do, to complete the table.

3. While - Reading: (13’)
- Ask students to read the text and check their prediction.
- Call some students to read the text aloud.
- Ask students to work in groups, answer the questions:
a) How many people are there in her family?
b) How old is her father?
c) What does he do?
d) How old is her mother?
e) What does she do?
f) How old is her brother?
g) What does he do?
h) Where are they?
- Call some students to read the answer.
- Correct.
4. Post – Reading: (10’)
-Ask students to write “Networks” about occupation

5. Homework: (5’)
- Ask students to learn by heart vocabulary, to write another paragraph about their own families .
