_ Help students know how use the present perfect and practice ALREADY and YET in the present perfect tense, distinguish the difference in using the past simple and the present perfect tense.

_ Review the passive forms of the present perfect, simple present, simple past, and simple future.

_ Practice passive modal auxiliaries.

1. Warm - up (5’)

_ Ask Ss play game “Pelmanism”

_ Give 10 cards with numbers (from 1 to 10). On one side and the verbs on the other.

_ Each team choose two numbers

_ Turn the cards over, if they match, that team gets one mark

_ If not, turn the cards over again and ask next team to continue

2. Exercises (35’)

a. Exercise 1:

_ Ask Ss to look at the dialouge on page 19

_ Ask Ss to practice the dialogue

_ Have Ss to answer 2 questions

+ How long has Nga known her friend?

+ Has Nga seen her recently?

 Form:

_ Review the present perfect tense

 For + a period of time

 Since + a point of time

_ Ask Ss to make 3 similar dialouges

_ Call some pairs to get information

b. Exercise 2:

_ Set the sence: You and your friend are visiting HCM City,

_ Ask Ss look at the notes

_ Ask Ss talk about things they done, they haven’t done

_ Ask Ss to look at the dialouge:

 Give Ss the use and the position of already and yet in the sentence

+ ALREADY: is used in affirmative sentences.

 Position: mid sentence

+ YET: is used in the negative sentences and questions

 Position: end of the sentence

_ Ask Ss to practice the dialouge in pairs

_ Call some pairs to correct the mistakes

c. Exercise 3:

_ Set the sence: Tom and Mary are talking to each other about places they have been to

_ Ask Ss to look at the dialouge

 Elicit from Ss

+ We use the past simple simple to talk about definite time

Ex: I went to France last year

+ We use the present perfect to talk about indefinite past time

Ex: Have you ever been to Italy?

+ EVER: is used in uqestions

_ Ask Ss to practice asking and answering about each of the items in the box.

d. Exercise 4,5:

_ Ask Ss some questions

+ Do you like wearing jeans?

+ Where are they sold?

 They are sold all over the world

+ Can you do this exercise?
