Lesson 1: GETTING STARTED +LISTEN & READ
I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Educational aim: love their local famous places.
2. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know and tell some famous places of interest in Viet Nam as well as at their place, know how to express polite request.

2. Presentation: (13’)
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures on the p. 98 to match the names with the pictures.

- Set the scene: Hoa meets Tim at the airport
- Explain vocabulary: 
+ A forty-minute drive 
 ª It’s a forty-minute drive.

+ Crop (n) 
+ Sugar cane (n) 
- Check vocabulary: “Rub out and Remember”.
- Have Ss choose the best answer:
