I. OBJECTIVES:

Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use “Where do you live?” questions to talk about the places they live.

 II. PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape

 III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)

- Ask students to play game “Simon says”

+ Simon says: “Stand up”

 “Sit down”

 “Open your book”

 “Open your book”

 “Close your book”

2. Presentation: (15’)

- Introduce some new words:

 +Vocabulary:

 1. ( to ) live :

 2. ( in ) a house :

 3. ( on ) a treet :

 4. ( in ) a city :

- Ask students practice the new words.

- Explain target language:

 Where do you live?

 I live in / on

- Show students, places and the conversation they have in the pictures.

- Let them listen to the cassette.

- Let students repeat after the teacher.

- Ask students to pay attention to the pronunciation, the linking sounds:

 * I live in .

3. Practice: (15’)

- Run through the words.

- Hold up the first cue and say the model sentences.

- Do the same for the second cue.

- Elicit the sentence by holding up the cue.

- Correct their mistakes.

4. Production: (8’)

- Write the alphabet on the board.

- Ask students to listen and repeat.

- Call some students to practice.

- Ask students to learn vocabulary and how to ask and answer about where they live.

- Ask them to prepare next lesson Unit 2: B4, 5/ p. 25

- Play games.

- Listen to the teacher.

- Repeat after the teacher.

- Listen and write.

- Look at the pictures and listen to the teacher’s explanation.

- Listen to the cassette and repeat as the teacher asked.

- Repeat after the teacher.

- Pay attention to the pronunciation, the linking sounds

- Look at the cues.

- Listen to the teacher.

- Repeat it chorally and then individually.

- Practice in pairs.

- Some pairs practice in front.

- Listen and write.
