2. Pre – Speaking: (8’)
- Give model sentence:
1. Hoa: Would you mind sitting in the front seat of the taxi?
Mr. Jones: No problem.
2. Tim: Would you mind if I took a photo?
Hoa: Not at all.
- Remind again the structure to express polite request.
1. Would / Do you mind + V-ING ?
2. Would you mind if I + Verb (Past) ?
3. Do you mind if I + Verb (Present) ?
+ Use: To make and respond to formal requests.
Agreement:
No, I don’t mind.
No, of course not.
Not at all.

Please go ahead.
Disagreement:
I’m sorry, I can’t.

- Ask Ss to make formal requests and responses with phrases in the warm up activities.

3. While – Speaking: (15’)
- Have Ss read carefully the two tables on the pages 100-101.
- Ask Ss to practice in group / pairs.
Model:
A: Excuse me!
B: Yes?
A: I’d like to visit a market. Would you mind suggesting one?
B: Not at all. How about going to Thai Binh Market? It opens from about 5 am to 8 pm.
A. That’s sounds interesting. Thank you.

- Have Ss open their books and use the information to practice other dialogues.
