I. OBJECTIVES:

Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to review tenses, adjectives and adverbs, adverb clause of reason, adverb clause of reason, adjective + that clause, conditional sentences: Type 1, connectives, phrasal verbs, make suggestions

2. Exercises (35’)

a.Exercise 1: Fill in each blank with the correct phrasal verbs

- Have Ss do exercise

1. Why don’t we turn . TV? The 7:00 news is on now.

2. If we keep . using more and more cars, we’ll run out of gas.

3. Are you still looking . a job?

4. If we . wasting electricity, we will have to pay a lot next month

b.Exercise 2: Combine two sentences into one, using the connectives from the list: and, but, because, if, however, therefore:

- Have Ss work in group.

1. You can go home. You’ve finished this exercise

2. You can’t borrow my dictionary. You bring it back on Monday

3. I don’t agree with a lot of his teaching methods. He is a good teacher
