I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen specific information about qualities for food shopping.

1. Warm – up: (5’)
Have students play game “Bingo”
- beef - bottle
- egg - tea
 - dozen - water
 - oil - gram
 - rice - chocolate
2. Presentation: (10’)
- Introduce the new words:
1. Half a kilo of 
2. Half a dozen.
2. cookie (n)
- Ask Ss to practice 
the new words.
- Get Ss to listen to
 the tape 1 time.
- Ask Ss to practice the dialogue.
3. Practice: (18’)
- Get Ss to listen to the tape 2 times.
- Let them listen to the cassette and find out things that people want to buy.
- Have Ss answer and ask the whole class to listen to again and check their answers. 
 + Phuong - a tube of toothpaste.
 + Ly - a bar of soap and
 - a box of chocolates
 + Mai - a can of soda
 + Nam - a packet of cookies 
4. Production: (10’)
- Let Ss read the dialogue then make a shopping list and have Ss read by themselves then do the exercises as quick as possible
- Ask Ss to do the exercises, then check and correct the mistakes.

5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask students to learn by heart vocabulary.
Prepare Unit 11: B1, 3, 4 /p. 119, 120
Play game.
- Listen to the teacher.
- Repeat after the teacher.
- Listen to the tape.
- Work in pairs.
- Listen to the tape two times.
- Listen to the cassette and find out things that people want to buy.
- Answer and check.
- Read the dialogue, and make a shopping list.
- Replace things in the dialogue with their own shopping list and rewrite the dialogue.
- Practice with partner.
